Nanuet, NY - Third Eye Technologies further cemented its position as a leading information technology network service and support provider today with the announcement of policy changes tto assist clients in saving energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

 

“There are a number of reasons that most business computers are left on twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. These range from after-hours maintenance and updates, remote accessibility, confusion about power management options, or plain old laziness,” said Steve Alexander, President of Third Eye Technologies, Inc. “We’re making it a priority to change that.”

 

As a salute to World Environment Day, Third Eye has announced that all automated PC Maintenance and Update Services will now take place on Thursday evenings for each of the over one thousand systems supported. “This will allow our clients to power down non-critical systems six days a week”, said Alexander. According to government sponsored Energy Star, proper power management can save $20 - $75 per year, per computer. “Third Eye has plans to institute automated power management for critical systems as well. We are currently reviewing and evaluating more than a few options to meet this very important issue" said Senior Technical Account Manager Brian MacConnell.
